Jeff Reinert resigns as basketball coach at Santa Margarita
Santa Margarita announced on Thursday that Jeff Reinert has resigned as basketball coach after seven seasons to pursue college coaching opportunities. He was an assistant at Fresno State before coming to Santa Margarita.
Reinert guided the Eagles to the Southern Section Division 1 championship this past season and the 3-AA title in 2014.
Reinert’s departure opens up a much-desired position in the powerful Trinity League.
