Update: It has been more than three months since the teams faced each other, when the Lakers had little trouble in a 121-96 victory over Portland on Nov. 7. Pau Gasol had a triple-double that night (20 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists) as the Lakers continued their dominance of the Trail Blazers in Los Angeles. The Lakers’ problem, however, is always at Portland, where they finally broke a nine-game losing streak with a 99-82 victory last February.
