Hornets end Spurs’ win streak at eight

at New Orleans 96, San Antonio 72: David West had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and the Hornets led by as many as 31 points in earning their eighth consecutive victory and ending the Spurs’ win streak at eight. San Antonio’s 37-7 record is the NBA’s best, but it has lost twice to New Orleans (29-16).

at Oklahoma City 101, New York 98: Kevin Durant’s three-pointer from the right wing as time expired, the first game-winning shot of his NBA career, lifted the Thunder over the Knicks, who lost their sixth straight. Durant had 30 points, and Russell Westbrook had 28 points, five rebounds and five assists.

at Miami 120, Toronto 103: LeBron James had 38 points and 11 rebounds, Mike Miller finally had a breakout game for his new team with 32 points and 10 rebounds, and the short-handed Heat ended a losing skid at four games. Miller had 22 points in the second quarter alone for Miami, which played without Dwyane Wade (migraine) and Chris Bosh (left ankle sprain).

at Philadelphia 96, Utah 85: Andre Iguodala scored 22 points, Lou Williams had 20 and the 76ers won for the 12th time in their last 15 home games. The Jazz is 0-4 on a five-game trip.

Dallas 87, at New Jersey 86: Dirk Nowitzki hit a jumper in the lane with six seconds to play to win it for the Mavericks, who beat the Nets for the fifth straight time.

Atlanta 103, at Charlotte 87: Joe Johnson scored 32 points, Josh Smith had 16 and the undermanned Hawks bounced back from a humiliating 100-59 loss to New Orleans a night earlier.

at Detroit 75, Phoenix 74: Austin Daye made the go-ahead jump shot with 53 seconds left and the Pistons rallied for a victory that ended the Suns’ win streak at five games. Tayshaun Prince had 17 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for Detroit. Steve Nash led Phoenix with 14 points and nine assists.

at Chicago 92, Cleveland 79: Derrick Rose scored 24 points, Carlos Boozer had 20 in his return after missing three games because of an ankle sprain, and the Bulls surged late to hand the Cavaliers their 16th consecutive loss. Cleveland has lost 20 straight on the road.

Memphis 94, at Milwaukee 81: Marc Gasol had 24 points and 16 rebounds, and Zach Randolph set a franchise record with his 10th straight double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) for the Grizzlies.

at Portland 97, Indiana 92: The Trail Blazers won their fifth in a row behind LaMarcus Aldridge’s 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Orlando 118, at Houston 104: Dwight Howard had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Magic.
