Up next for the Galaxy: Thursday at Motagua
GALAXY TONIGHT
AT CD MOTAGUA
When: 7 PDT.
Where: Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
On the air: TV: Fox Soccer Channel, Galavision; Radio: 1220 (Spanish).
Record in CONCACAF Champions League: Galaxy 3-0-2, Motagua 0-0-5.
Update: It’s win or go home for the Galaxy. A win and the club moves into a three-way tie with Morelia and Alajuelense in the Group A standings, as all three would have 12 points, and the Galaxy would advance because it has a better goal differential in matches among the three. But if the Galaxy loses, Alajuelense advances instead. Galaxy midfielder David Beckham will make the trip and fellow star Landon Donovan will too, though Donovan is questionable because of a strained quadriceps. Motagua has nothing to play for but pride, yet it will do so before a tough home crowd. The Galaxy defeated Motagua, 2-0, at the Home Depot Center on Aug. 16.
