Brad Keselowski wins Sprint Cup race at Talladega

Brad Keselowski got a huge push from Kyle Busch to take the lead with a lap to go Sunday, then used a calculated move to prevent Busch from taking the win away from him at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

A nine-car accident with four laps remaining brought out the yellow flag, setting up a two-lap overtime sprint to the finish.

Keselowski ended up in Victory Lane for the second time this season, and continued a hot streak for team owner Roger Penske, who won for the first time in the Sprint Cup Series at Talladega.

Penske’s organization, meanwhile, has won all four of the IndyCar races this season.

The victory was the first for manufacturer Dodge at Talladega since Dave Marcis won in 1976.

Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth wound up third.

Kasey Kahne finished fourth and was followed by Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer and David Ragan. Trevor Bayne was eighth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. ninth and Jeff Burton rounded out the top 10.

Ron Capps won the NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Ga., to end John Force Racing’s season-opening funny car winning streak at six.

Capps raced to his 34th victory, outrunning JFR’s Robert Hight in the final round with a 4.166-second run at 303.91 mph in a Dodge Charger. Hight finished in 4.399 at 273.44 in a Ford Mustang.

Steve Torrence won the top-fuel division, Greg Anderson topped the pro stock class, and Eddie Krawiec took the pro stock motorcycle event.

Dolphins give Wake contract extension

The Miami Dolphins extended linebacker Cameron Wake’s contract through the 2016 season.

Wake made the Pro Bowl in 2010, when he had 14 sacks, and he had 8 1/2 sacks last year. He came to the Dolphins in 2009 from the Canadian Football League, where he was a two-time defensive player of the year.

Wake had one year and $650,000 left on his previous contract. ESPN reported the extension was worth $49 million, with $20 million guaranteed.

Argentina’s Juan del Potro won his second consecutive Estoril Open title, using a strong serve to beat France’s Richard Gasquet, 6-4, 6-2, at Oeiras, Portugal.

Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany defeated Marin Cilic of Croatia, 7-6 (8), 6-3, to win the BMW Open at Munich, Germany, for the second time.

Juventus completed the recovery from its darkest period following the 2006 matchfixing scandal as it claimed its first Serie A title in nine years.

The Bianconeri won its 28th league title as it defeated Cagliari, 2-0, to stay unbeaten and second-place AC Milan lost, 4-2, to Inter Milan in the next-to-last round of the season. Juventus is four points ahead of Milan.
