Lakers release 2012 preseason schedule
This time, the Lakers won’t have to worry about canceling preseason games because of an ongoing lockout. This time, the Lakers won’t have to worry much about traveling either.
The Lakers’ 2012 preseason schedule will all feature games in relatively local venues, including two at Staples Center Oct. 13 against Utah and Oct. 21 against Sacramento. The rest of the Lakers’ seven exhibition games will take place in various local spots. That includes games against Golden State (Oct. 7 at Fresno’s Save Mart Center), Portland (Oct. 10 at Ontario’s Citizens Bank Arena), Utah (Oct. 16 at Anaheim’s Honda Center) and Sacramento (Oct. 19 at Las Vegas’ Thomas and Mack Center and Oct. 25 at San Diego’s Valley View Casino Center). Both Staples Center games will take place at 7:30 p.m., while the games at the other venues will start at 7 p.m.
Individual tickets for the Lakers’ preseason games at Staples Center hasn’t been determined, but the other aforementioned venues will begin selling tickets May 14 at 10 a.m. How they will be sold vary by venue.
