Maria Menounos says Jack Nicholson had her booted from her seat
Maria Menounos, an outspoken Boston Celtics fan, revealed to Conan O’Brien this week that Jack Nicholson had her booted from her courtside seats during the 2010 NBA Finals.
Menounos, currently a host on “Extra,” told O’Brien she was rallying her team on the road during Game 6 when, “I get booted! These guys come and pull us out of courtside.”
Relocated to the Chairman’s Lounge at Staples Center, she saw Nicholson at halftime -- “I see they moved your seat,” laughed Nicholson, according to Menounos.
“I heard later he called [the late Dr.] Jerry Buss and had me removed,” she continued.
The Celtics beat the Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals, but in 2010 the Lakers won Games 6 and 7 against the Celtics to take their second-straight title.
Menounos also described an encounter with Kobe Bryant, who noticed her wearing Celtic green at an All-Star Game.
“You know what, I actually really respect you. You really take up for your team and you’re not scared in our territory to show your love,” Bryant said, according to Menounos’ account.
