The Sparks have re-signed All-Star forward Nneka Ogwumike, keeping the former Stanford star with the team that drafted her.

She has career averages of 15.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals while starting all 123 career games during four years in the WNBA. Last season, Ogwumike averaged a career-best 16.5 points while leading the league in minutes played at 34.1.

She was named to the league’s All-Defensive team despite dealing with injuries.

The Sparks open the season in May. They announced the deal Wednesday.
