LONDON -- Kobe Bryant rallied from a scoreless first half with six three-pointers and LeBron James added a triple-double as the U.S. men’s basketball team eliminated pesky, physical Australia, 119-86, in a London Olympics men’s basketball quarterfinal Wednesday night at North Greenwich Arena.

The U.S. advances to face Argentina, which defeated Brazil earlier. Russia will play Spain in the other semifinal.

Bryant, who finished with 20 points, had missed all five of his shots before going nuts in the second half, including three consecutive three-pointers at one point while scoring 12 points in a little more than a minute of the fourth quarter.

James finished with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists. Deron Williams added 18 points off the bench and Carmelo Anthony had 17 points.

Patty Mills, who played with the San Antonio Spurs last season, led Australia with 26 points.

Joe Ingles, who plays for FC Barcelona, had 19 points.
