College football fans out West may have to leave work a little early on Monday.

The College Football Playoff championship game between Alabama and Georgia begins at 5 p.m. PST. The game will be shown on ESPN.

This is Alabama’s third straight appearance in the national title game. Coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide beat Clemson 45-40 two years ago and lost to the Tigers 35-31 last year. Alabama beat Clemson 24-6 in a semifinal game last week.

The Crimson Tide are looking for their fifth national championship since 2010.

Georgia has never played in a national title game, with its last championship coming in 1980, long before the CFP or its predecessor, the Bowl Championship Series, started taking place. Coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs beat Oklahoma 54-48 in double overtime in last week’s semifinal game at the Rose Bowl.
