The Clippers are among the favorites to win the NBA championship this season, according to gambling website Bovada.
The Clippers are listed at 10-1 odds to win their first championship in franchise history, trailing only Cleveland (5-2), San Antonio (4-1), Chicago (11-2) and Oklahoma City (11-2).
The Clippers, who boast a strong trio in Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, have never reached the Western Conference finals. Last season, they were eliminated from the playoffs in the second round by the Thunder.
The Lakers, who have won 16 championships, are listed at 66-1 to win the title, according to the betting website.
The Clippers are in the midst of training camp in Las Vegas. Their first preseason game, against the Golden State Warriors, is set for Tuesday.
