Clippers don’t expect letdown against New Orleans

Rarely have the Clippers had letdowns this season.

So after a big win over the Thunder on Sunday in Oklahoma City, look for the Clippers to keep up their solid play against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night at the Smoothie King Arena.

The Clippers, who are fourth in the Western Conference, will face a Pelicans team that is last in the Southwest Division and has the fourth-worst record in the West.

The Clippers have defeated New Orleans the last four straight games, six of the past seven.

The Pelicans have lost three straight games, five of their last six games.

But there will be one interesting matchup to watch – a pair of All-Star power forwards.

It’ll be fun to see Clippers four-time All-Star Blake Griffin and Pelicans first-time All-Star Anthony Davis go at each other.

Griffin leads the Clippers in scoring (24.3 points per game) and Davis leads the Pelicans in scoring (20.4) and rebounding (10.2).
