Dan Kennedy returns to Galaxy training; Steven Gerrard listed as ‘week to week’
Galaxy goalkeeper Dan Kennedy returned to training Tuesday for the first time since sustaining a partial groin tear in the team’s March 6 season opener. But midfielder Steven Gerrard, who limped off the field three minutes into last Saturday’s game with a calf strain, did not work out.
Coach Bruce Arena said Gerrard’s status is “week to week.” Because of Major League Soccer’s international break, the Galaxy doesn’t play again until April 2 in Vancouver.
Also in training Tuesday was midfielder Giovani dos Santos, who sustained a muscle strain in his left leg in the same March 6 game in which Kennedy was injured.
Dos Santos did not train at full speed and left practice with an ice pack strapped to his left quadriceps.

Defender Jeff Larentowicz, who has been out of action all season following winter hernia surgery, also trained Tuesday.
