Rory McIlroy trash talks Tiger Woods [Video]

Golfer Rory McIlroy is feeling good coming off of his record-setting eight-stroke victory at the PGA Championship earlier this month. So good, in fact, that he isn’t afraid to call out perhaps the greatest golfer of all time: Tiger Woods.

At a news conference for The Barclays tournament, which started Thursday at Bethpage Black in New York, McIlroy was asked about next month’s Ryder Cup. Just a few minutes before the question, Woods, who was to interviewed next, had entered the room.

A gleam came into McIlroy’s eye, and while looking at Woods he said, “Yeah, I’d love to go out there. I’d love Tiger to go out first and kick his ... .” And I’m pretty sure he didn’t mean kick Tiger’s donkey.

It was all done in fun, as you can see in the below video.

When Tiger came up to be interviewed, the first question was whether McIlroy could indeed kick his ... at the Ryder Cup, which will be played at Medinah in Chicago this year.

“At Medinah?” Woods said with a smile. “No.”

McIlroy and Woods are paired together for the first two rounds of The Barclays. Wouldn’t it be fun to be able to listen in on those conversations?
