Mouthguard that Stephen Curry used is auctioned for $3,190
You must be a Stephen Curry super fan to cough up that price for a mouthguard.
A mouthguard found by a fan after a Golden State Warriors road game was auctioned for almost $3,190 in an online auction Sunday morning. California-based SCP Auctions handled the sale.
According to SCP Auctions, the fan’s seat was close to the Warriors bench. The mouthpiece was left behind under one of the team’s courtside chairs after the game.
The mouthguard has Curry’s name and number and the team’s logo on it.
The starting bid for the item was $1,500 and was one of several peculiar sports items sold.
In June, SCP vice president Dan Imler told ESPN that he expected the mouthpiece to sell for $5,000.
The buyer can proudly say they own not only a Stephen Curry-handled item, but his dried saliva too.
