USC football: Tailback Ty Isaac will have homecoming
USC freshman tailback Ty Isaac played high school football at Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy, about a two-hour drive from Notre Dame.
So he kept busy this week securing ticket passes from teammates.
“Whatever I can get, I’m taking,” Isaac said. “I’ve got most of my immediate family, some of my cousins and close friends coming so it should be fun.”
Isaac averaged nearly nine yards per carry and rushed for 28 touchdowns as a high school senior. He considered attending Notre Dame before choosing USC.
“Especially from the area and the high school I came from, it was real tough,” he said. “But you’ve got to make that decision for yourself.”
Isaac gained 36 yards in three carries last week against Arizona. He practiced sparingly this week because of an apparent injury.
But Isaac made the trip and was dressed for USC’s closed workout Friday at a high school in Michigan City, Ind.
