USC Athletic Director Pat Haden writes letter to UCLA’s Myles Jack
UCLA linebacker Myles Jack posted a letter written to him by USC Athletic Director Pat Haden to his Instagram account Monday.
Jack, who was named the offensive and defensive freshman of the year in 2013, suffered a season-ending knee injury at practice two weeks ago.
“I have admired the way you play the game of football for the past three years,” Haden’s letter read. “You have proven yourself to be one of the Pac-12’s best players for sure. Your play and leadership have been amazing. I was sorry to hear about your recent injury and wish you a speedy recovery.”
UCLA announced Tuesday that Jack, a junior, has withdrawn from classes at UCLA to rehabilitate his knee and prepare for the NFL draft.
USC plays UCLA on Nov. 28 at the Coliseum.
