Bruins pick up defensive end Takkarist McKinley

UCLA picked up some help for the defensive line.

Takkarist McKinley, a defensive end from Richmond (Calif.) Kennedy High, signed a letter of intent Thursday and will be immediately eligible. He will meet with Coach Jim Mora early next week.

McKinley, who is 6 feet 4, 235 pounds, committed to California in 2013, but was a non-qualifier. He enrolled at Contra Costa Community College.

A review of his records determines there was an error and he was cleared to enroll.

He will have four years of eligibility.
