USC recruiting update: Running back Ronald Jones commits to Trojans
Reporting from San Antonio — Ronald Jones, a running back from North High in McKinney, Texas, announced his commitment to USC on Friday at the Under Armour All-American game.
“I’m going to take my talents to USC,” said Jones, as he put on a Trojans hat.
Jones, 6 feet and 180 pounds, was once committed to Oklahoma State but withdrew his commitment the same day he returned from an official visit to Notre Dame and hosted an in-home visit with Trojans coaches.
Jones made an official visit to USC on Dec. 5.
Jones is the third running back to commit to the Trojans’ class, joining Aca’Cedric Ware, from Cedar Hill (Texas), and Mission Hills Alemany’s Dominic Davis.
Five scholarships remain in USC’s 2015 recruiting class.
