Santa Rosa Man Arrested for Sexual Assault on a Dog. On April 9, 2025, Crime Scene Detectives arrested 26-year-old Jeremiah Ortega in the 100 block of Bellevue Avenue in Santa Rosa on a felony charge of animal cruelty and misdemeanor charges of sexual assault of an animal and two counts of violation of probation. Ortega had been initially arrested on April 3, 2025, for possession of child pornography and was released on April 7 following a court hearing.
