Moldiv photo-editing app turns vacation pics into magazine layouts
- Share via
Give your travel photos a magazine-like layout that you can share with your friends and family.
Name: Moldiv
What it does: It’s a photo-editing app that can do everything from polishing the look of your selfies to turning your vacation pics into glossy layouts worthy of a travel magazine.
Available: In the app store, requires iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. In Google Play, requires 4.0 and up.
Cost: Free to download; add-ons start at $1.99.
What’s hot: I bought the app’s full update, which has 135 magazine layouts to choose from. This feature was the app’s main draw: I loved the numerous options that could give my photos a more professional look. But the secret weapon, which will keep me using the app, is the shuffle icon you see in the upper left corner of your screen once you’re in a magazine layout. Click on the icon and the same photos will appear in previews of other layouts. It’s a convenient way to sift through different designs until you find the one that suits you.
What’s not: Get out your wallet. The add-on packs start at $1.99, but I opted for the full pack that was on sale at $6.99 (from $11.99), way more than I usually spend on apps. Also, the developer has other camera apps it wants you to buy such as Rookie Cam, which you’ll find inside the app.
