Daily Deal: On Maui, pay now, stay later and save at Fairmont Kea Lani

Say “aloha” to saving money by booking now for a future stay in a suite or villa at the oceanfront Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, Maui.

The deal: The Book Now, Save Later deal at the Fairmont Kea Lani saves guests up to 40% off the best available rate for a one-bedroom suite or a two- or three-bedroom villa this fall and on select dates in 2014. Rates start at $323 a night, plus tax, for a one-bedroom suite. A refundable deposit for two nights, including tax, is required to hold a reservation. To avoid penalties, cancellations must be made at least 21 days before arrival.

The 22-acre property is on Polo Beach, about 30 miles from Lahaina, and has 413 spacious suites and 32 two- and three-bedroom villas. It has a 24-hour fitness center, a spa, three swimming pools, a kids club, a business center and on-site cultural activities. All suites and villas feature a lanai, flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and other amenities. (Wi-Fi is free for President’s Club members, Fairmont’s free rewards program. ) There is no resort fee, but self-parking costs $15, and valet parking costs $25 a night.

When: Aug. 16-Dec. 20, 2013; April 30-June 30, 2014; and Aug. 22-Dec. 21, 2014, subject to availability.

Tested: I found the deal widely available online, but the lowest rate was usually $398 per night for fall dates. A three-night stay from April 30-May 3, 2014 would cost $329 per night or $373.14 with tax.
