Hawaii: ‘Wheel of Fortune’ tapings return to Big Island in September
- Share via
“Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak and letter turner Vanna White will tape episodes of the long-running TV game show Sept. 13, 14, 16 and 17 on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The September visit will mark the third time the popular show has visited the Hilton Waikoloa Village, 20 miles north of Kona International Airport. The cast and crew recorded programs there in 1996 and 2008.
The hotel is offering two promotions to entice fans.
The Contestant Package includes a room, two show tickets and one audition for the chance to appear on a “Wheel” episode to be taped in L.A. at a later date. Rooms start at $229 plus tax per night but will fluctuate based on availability. There’s a three-night minimum stay.
The Wheel Watchers Club package, priced from $234 a night, includes an upgraded room, daily breakfast buffet for two and two tickets to a taping. To book one of the offers, you need to be a club member. Registration, however, is free.
