Las Vegas: Restaurant Week’s back with fixed-price, three-course meals
About 100 eateries will be participating in Restaurant Week Aug. 23-30, offering three-course, fixed-price meals that also help fight hunger.
Most of the restaurants participating in Restaurant Week are on or near the Las Vegas Strip, making it ideal for tourists.
Among the many choices:
Alize on the 56th floor of the Palms: Besides its superb view, Alize, a fine French restaurant, will be serving a special meal priced at $50.13 per person.
Jean Georges Steakhouse at Aria: The acclaimed chef whose name is on the door has created a special menu for $50.13.
Verandah at the Four Seasons will offer a creative menu served in intimate surroundings for $50.13.
Visitors who have a car or want to cab it may choose to venture off Las Vegas Boulevard to try some lesser-known but well-respected restaurants. They include:
Twin Creeks Steakhouse, a gem inside the Silverton (Blue Diamond Road at Interstate 15) offers traditional but tasty fare such as filet mignon and Alaskan halibut. The menu for Restaurant Week costs $40.13.
Table 34 at 600 E. Warm Springs Road is a six-mile drive from the Strip but its special menu suggests it might be worth the trip. It includes selections such as citrus-garlic mussel ceviche, layered eggplant and chocolate-peanut butter pie with honeycomb clusters.
A part of each sale will be donated to Three Square, a Southern Nevada food bank.
