San Francisco: Nob Hill hotel deal drops rate to as little as $143
Whether you long for great food, live music at Biscuits & Blues or a cable car ride, this deal for Hotel Carlton locates you near Union Square for a San Francisco visit and gives you room rates as low as $143 a night.
The deal: Hotel Carlton’s “Stay Two Nights, Save 20%” deal gives guests 20% off the best available rate with a minimum two-night stay at the historic 1927 Nob Hill hotel. Some dates require a minimum four-night stay for the promotion (see below). The promotion code is SAVE20, and the deal can be booked online only. Cancellations must be made by 3 p.m. the day before check-in to avoid being charged for the first night.
The 161-room Hotel Carlton’s eco-friendly focus helped it become Joie de Vivre’s first green-certified business. In 2008, it was the first hotel in San Francisco to install rooftop solar panels. Rooms were renovated in the last year and include remodeled bathrooms.
Dates: Now through Aug. 9. Although there are no blackout dates, a four-night minimum stay is required beginning on these dates: May 5-10 and 17 and 18, June 12-16 and July 6-10.
Tested: This deal is widely available. I found an April 15-17 rate that was $159 for a city view queen that would ordinarily be $190 a night and a May 12-15 rate for a king room of $175 a night (usually $219). A weekend rate for a queen room for Aug. 1-4 showed as $179 a night instead of the usual $219. These rates don’t include taxes and fees.
Info: Hotel Carlton, 1075 Sutter St., San Francisco.
