In Maui’s waters, a sunset dinner cruise designed for couples
Here’s a fresh option for dining at sea when you’re visiting Maui.
Sunset dinner cruises aren’t new, but Trilogy has created a more intimate experience aboard its 65-foot catamaran as it plies the waters of Hawaii’s second largest island.
The dinner is limited to 20 couples. “We want each couple on board to feel like they’ve been invited to a dinner on a private yacht,” Capt. Gabe Lucy said in a statement.
The 2 1/2-hour sailings are for adults only and depart from Maalaea, north of Kihei, at 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
An onboard chef prepares the four-course locally sourced meal to order. Main course options include wild-caught mahi-mahi with a lemon butter caper sauce, pan-seared steaks with a garlic and rosemary crust, and vegetarian pasta prepared with seasonal produce.
A bartender keeps the cocktails flowing from the open bar.
No need to worry about a chill after the sun goes down: Throw blankets are provided.
Tickets cost $129 plus tax per person. On Saturday, Feb. 14, a special Valentine’s Day dinner sail will be priced at $149.
