Web Buzz: Splurge on small toiletry items with TravelBeauty.com
Here are travel toiletries you won’t be able to live without, though they’ll leave your wallet lighter.
Name: TravelBeauty.com
What it does: It’s a shopping website for upscale toiletry items for men and women. Get travel-size products for sun care, skin care, bath and body, hair and nails.
What’s hot: You can easily create your own travel kits. Start with the bag, then scroll the pages to fill it up. Don’t forget to use the “on” switches in both the upper-right and lower-left corners of the home pages before you begin browsing; it will filter all the products to travel size. Think beyond that little tube of sunscreen (although it has that too) and more along the lines of the bacteria-killing, high-tech Minus Ion Care Water ($20, 3.3 fluid ounces). I especially like the section on “the best beauty products from around the globe,” such as Caretrico Type H Shampoo from Japan ($35, 9.4 fluid ounces — too big for your carry-on), Philip Kingsley Elasticizer from Britain ($25, 2.5 fluid ounces) and Juvena Specialist Moisture Plus Gel Mask from Switzerland ($92, 2.5 fluid ounces).
What’s not: The prices are up there, so get ready to splurge. Travelers, you’re worth it.
