Costumed runners will splash and crawl through two dozen mud and water obstacles at the Temecula Mud Run April 21. The inaugural event will be at Galway Downs, a 260-acre equestrian events center just east of Temecula off of Highway 79S. Entry fees are $60 for adults and $20 for kids ages 5–17. Vail Resorts Inc. has closed on its acquisition of Kirkwood Mountain Resort at Lake Tahoe. The company now operates three major mountain resorts in the Lake Tahoe region, including Heavenly Mountain and Northstar California . . . . The Hotel Indigo San Diego Del Mar has reopened after a multimillion-dollar renovation. Mauiva has launched a third AirCruise itinerary, the “Sun & Fun Experience,” a seven-day vacation package via private plane that travels to three destinations throughout the Caribbean and the Bahamas. An all-inclusive option, including flights, food and attractions, lists at $1,999 per person. A plan featuring flights and accommodations only goes for $1,449 . . . .
