Ski season is only a few months away, so Mountain High, Southern California’s closest winter resort, will celebrate with its annual season-pass kickoff party on Saturday at Fiesta Village in Colton at 1405 E. Washington St.
The festivities — all free to new and current season-pass holders — include rounds of miniature golf, go-kart rides, water slides and laser tag. There are free batting cages, amusement rides, a skate competition, a microbrew beer fest and more.
Attendees can save up to 70% on outerwear and equipment from Powder & Sun or sell their own goods in the ski/snowboard swap. All these activities, plus hot dogs, chips and soda, are 50% off to non-pass holders.
Mountain High’s season-pass rates are up to 53% off beginning Saturday. The first 500 skiers and snowboarders who buy passes at the party also will receive more than $500 in giveaways, including a free non-holiday buddy ticket ($69 value), Sport Chalet gift cards ($5 to $100 value), 50% off at Pacific Park in Santa Monica, zip-line discounts at Navitat in Wrightwood and a chance to win a Washington state ski vacation for two.
In addition, the individual who purchases the 1,000th season pass Saturday (at the party or otherwise) will also receive a free VIP season pass for the 2014-15 season.
For $349 (regular price, $749) Mountain High’s VIP season pass includes an entire season of skiing or snowboarding plus three free days at 11 other partner areas. Other benefits include early-ups on select days and $10 off adult ski or snowboard lessons.
Info: Mountain High or call (888) 754-7878. There is a $10 processing fee for all new passes purchased.
