Las Vegas: Properties rolling out spring break specials

As spring break nears, Las Vegas is once again on the radar for students looking for a happening destination. Resorts particularly popular with the over-21 crowd, such as Hard Rock and the Palms, are among the venues offering some packages that shouldn’t break the budget.

The “Breakin’ Vegas” deal at the Hard Rock offers rooms starting at $199 per room per night. Up to four adults are allowed in each room, and the price includes $199 in drink credits at participating casino and pool bars. Free entry into the just-relaunched Body English Nightclub & Afterhours is also included.

Guests can book online or by calling (800) 343-4346 and using code “HBREAK3.”

The Palms is trying to attract students with its “Destination Spring Break” offer. Room specials starting at $69 a night include a $50 food and beverage credit.

The credit, however, isn’t good toward the price of the hotel’s “hosted bar package.” For $69, students with proper ID get complimentary admission to ghostbar and Moon Nightclub along with all-you-can-drink beverages. (There are, of course, some limitations.)

To book the bar package, use the code “SPRINGBREAK” online. Room offers can be booked online or by calling (866) 942-7770.

MGM Resorts is offering “Spring Break Unleashed” packages at six of its Strip properties: Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Monte Carlo and New York-New York. The packages vary by property. For example, Luxor has rooms from $42 a night. That includes complimentary admission to LAX Nightclub. Before hitting the pool, coeds may want to use their 15% discount for the “Glow and Bronze Spray Tan Package” at Nurture Spa and Salon.

Details of MGM Resorts’ various offers are available online.
