British heavy metal band Iron Maiden to rock out in Las Vegas in 2016

British heavy metal band Iron Maiden is heading out on the road and into the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Feb. 28, 2016, as part of its Book of Souls world tour.

The band, out of Leyton east of London, kicked off in 1975 and introduced the British metal sound with its screeching guitars and dynamic vocals.

The band’s mascot “Eddie” has appeared as a cyborg, an Egyptian mummy and more on each of 37 album covers and at every show.

The band has sold more than 90 million albums, with hits such as “Two Minutes to Midnight,” “Run to the Hills” and “The Trooper.”

Iron Maiden won its first Grammy Award (best metal performance) in 2011 for the song “El Dorado.” The band earned Grammy nominations for “Fear of the Dark” in 1994 and “The Wicker Man” in 2001.

Tickets start at $61.65 and go on sale on Saturday, Oct. 10.
