Two-month-old Bornean orangutan baby, Ah Meng Junior, hangs on to her mother, Anita, at the Singapore Zoo. Named in memory of Singapore Zoo’s iconic Sumatran orangutan, the late Ah Meng, Ah Meng Junior is the 35th orangutan birth at the zoo. The population of the Bornean orangutan is estimated to reach 50,000 while that of the Sumatran orangutan is at approximately 7,500 in the wild.
